Books

I've always been a bookworm

Currently reading: The Gospel According To... by Sergey Khazov-Cassia, translated by Reuben Woolley

I keep thinking I've read more books than I have, every time I update my huge list of books I've read (see below). It's kinda confusing, because for the most part I've been fairly good at reading at breakfast and before bed, but I guess that still means I'm reading pretty slowly. Ah well!

Pile of stickers that say Rare Mags on them Was introduced to Rare Mags in Stockport by a friend and it's a fantastic little shop of interesting (mostly) new writing. It has some regular fiction and non-fiction, but it's primarily magazines and these cool journal-esque books with essays and poems and so on. I've only got one book from there so far, it's called The Compost Reader #2 and I've only read some little snippets but it's fantastic! There's an essay on ecology and disability and health and the idea of crip time as it relates to 'sick' landscapes.

31/03/2025 HELLO folks I've nearly finished Hijab Butch Blues by Lamya H. and it's SO GOOD! it's got me tears in my eyes a good few times and it's also very funny and relatable in some ways. I recommend you check it out!

This is a section of my website I hope to expand with book recommendations, maybe reviews or even essays, and lots of lists. Speaking of lists, here's a bunch of long ones: the 150+ books I read in 5 years. No clue if that's above or below average but my hands sure hurt typing most of that out by hand in the wee hours of the morning! Ah, the joys of autism...

Justify my joyous suffering by perusing the list:

Every book I've read since 2019*
*not including 2021, and also not everything is strictly a book.

Are YOU a transsexual? Or mysteriously drawn to their mystery and swag? Do you like looking at words, and digesting them through a series of natural miracles occuring in fat and electrical impulses? Do you like freebies? Then TRANSREADS.ORG is the site for you!. According to them, they're the biggest collection of trans lit on the 'net. [Unsuprisingly, considering the spaghetti code here, but they didn't pay me to say this; I'm just an anarchist who loves free stuff, especially free gender tomfoolery.]

Recently I've checked out some articles from this new site - it's pretty cool stuff; I recommend giving it a read: thetransfemininereview.com
